1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cheevo ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Cheevo lets you check in at places and events in New Orleans to unlock "cheevos," earn points, and share posts with other users. The App uses your location to confirm that you are really at a place when you check in.

3. User Accounts

To use Cheevo, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to manipulate or cheat the achievement system
• Use location spoofing or other methods to fake check-ins
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the App
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without authorization

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, notes and comments you post to Cheevo. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content within the App, limited by the privacy setting you choose. You are responsible for having the right to post what you share, including the consent of people who appear in it.

6. Objectionable Content and Abusive Users

Cheevo has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post content that is sexual, violent, hateful, harassing, threatening, illegal, or that exposes someone's private information, and do not post anything involving minors in an unsafe way.

• You can report any post, comment or profile, and block any user, from the App.
• We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these Terms, and suspend or remove the accounts responsible.
• Blocking someone hides their content from you and stops them from seeing or interacting with yours.

7. Intellectual Property

The Cheevo name, logo, and all related graphics, icons, and service names are trademarks of Cheevo. The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Cheevo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Location Services

Cheevo uses your location to show nearby cheevos and to verify check-ins, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn location off in your device settings, but you will not be able to check in. Respect the law and the places you visit: do not trespass, and do not use the App while driving.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Places, businesses and events featured in the App are not affiliated with or endorsed by Cheevo unless stated, and event dates can change.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cheevo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
